Reasonably economical entry point for 3d printing I have a fair amount of 3D printing experience though I have never owned a printer before. My previous work was on a PolyPrinter – a great unit but more expensive than a Da Vinci and if business looks good I hope to upgrade at some point. That said, I suspect some other reviewers haven’t had my advantages so I’m including a sort of walkthrough of my first print with the Da Vinci AiO. I may at some point change this review (4 stars) depending on scan accuracy which I haven’t yet tested and the precision of the prints of different models. I rate this relative to what it promises – low cost 3d printing in a pretty complete experience. Scanner – If you want new technology in … 3D printer and Scanner at a price that is still cheaper than some 3D printers or scanner alone!3D printing – it works well once you get the calibration down. It may take some time, but once i got to know the printer i was off and away printing. So far did a 10 hour build that came out great.Scanner – If you want new technology in your home, there always going to be limitations, so you will have to realize this when using it. Same goes for 3D printer in general. On the consumer level, it still in the early stages, but it just gets better from here. XYZ recommends using plasti-dip on the objects and it did work pretty well than without it.Good printer so far and prints well for the money. Customer service was prompt, they answered my emails extremely fast and that something a lot of other companies do not have.
